The optical fiber preform project was successfully trial-produced in Liaocheng to fill Shandong Province

With the production of optical fiber preform products, a few days ago, Shandong Yanggu "annual output of 400 tons of optical fiber preform" project officially trial production was successful, which also marked that Liaocheng filled the gap of no optical fiber preform manufacturing in the province.

Optical fiber preform is the "source" project of optical cable production, occupying a core position, accounting for 70% of the entire industrial chain. At present, there are about 200 domestic optical cable manufacturers, most of which rely on buying optical fiber or optical fiber preforms to produce optical cables. In order to completely get rid of the unfavorable situation of insufficient raw material supply and being subject to people, Yanggu Cable Group insists on combining R&D and equipment introduction, and invested 1.027 billion yuan in 2017 to build a project with an annual output of 400 tons of optical fiber preforms.

The successful commissioning of the project is of cumulative significance for improving the industrial chain, enhancing the industrial agglomeration effect, promoting industrial upgrading, and realizing the conversion of new and old kinetic energy in the optoelectronic industry.

In addition, the project was recently selected into the Shandong Province Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Project Database. After the project is fully put into operation, the main revenue will be increased by 1.4 billion yuan, and the profit and tax will be 140 million yuan.
